Design Ops – A Plan

When I started at Flybuys I leveraged the a design process to understand the painpoints our team was going through. Based on this I utilised the NNGroup process to develop a bespoke roadmap to solve these issues.

We mapped out all the pain points to strategic and tactical goals. I developed a rough roadmap based on the outcomes.

It’s great to see the achievements we made and the strides we have achieved through this initial roadmapping exercise which set the vision for the years ahead.

The first priority was rolling out from Sketch to Figma and consolidating key components and tokens into one Design System. It was still inconsistent but it highlighted the opportunities to fix these problems.
